Whitney Arthur is board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Research College of Nursing in 2010.
Whitney began her nursing career in the ICU at Overland Park Regional Medical Center, where she worked for eight years. She then joined the University of Kansas Medical Center as an oncology infusion nurse while continuing her education. She went on to earn her Master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Rockhurst University–Saint Luke’s College of Nursing and Health Sciences, graduating in 2023.
Whitney started her time at Sunflower Medical Group working in 2024 working in our Urgent Care and now practices in Primary Care, where she sees patients ranging from 2 months old through geriatrics.
Her ICU background helped develop strong critical thinking skills that continue to guide her careful, thorough approach to patient care. She enjoys helping patients better understand their health concerns and working together to create practical, personalized care plans.
Whitney has a very supportive husband and three children who keep busy with school, sports, and family activities. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and cheering on her kids at lacrosse, football, volleyball, and basketball events.
