More About Rusty Bergman
Rusty Bergman, DO, has spent nearly 30 years caring for patients and their health. Dr. Bergman is happy to be seeing patients at Sunflower Medical Group, after spending the past two decades as a hospitalist (a physician who treats patients who’ve been admitted to a hospital.) He looks forward to partnering with new patients to improve their wellbeing and focusing on preventative care.
Dr. Bergman graduated from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (now A.T. Still University) and completed his residency at Des Peres hospital in St. Louis Missouri in 1999. In 2005, the American College of Osteopathic Internists named Dr. Bergman a fellow, an honor reflecting his commitment to his patients and the community.
When he’s not working, Dr. Bergman can be found hanging out with the family, spending time outdoors, working in the yard and cheering on the Royals and Chiefs. He has a teenaged son and a tween daughter that keep him young at heart and on the run.
