I dreamed of becoming a physician from the age of five years old. On this journey, I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and minor in Journalism from the University of Central Missouri. I then chose to attend Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences (KCUMB) to become an osteopathic physician. In 2009, I completed a residency at Children’s Mercy Hospital and joined Heartland Primary Care as a pediatrician. I am also board certified in general pediatrics. I love watching children grow and helping parents care for their kids from birth to young adulthood. I feel parents are the most important team member in the diagnosis and treatment of their children. It is my privilege to be such an intimate part of my patients' families. I am also a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and participate in volunteer work in the community. My husband Travis and I enjoy working and playing outside at our home in rural Leavenworth County. Our daughter Erin, born in January 2012, keeps us busy and brings us so much joy.
